Frequently Asked Questions

  • Maza Movement and Recovery is considered a cash based, out of network provider. Every year insurance companies reduce their reimbursement rates and place restrictions on the level of care a patient can receive. This leads to most insurance based physical therapy practices booking multiple patients an hour and which leads to decreased individualized attention for the patients.

With an out of network clinic model, we have the autonomy to provide the high end, one on one individualized care our patients deserve leading to quicker recovery and better results to improve your quality of life and reach your goals faster!

Most patients opt to pay via cash, credit card, HSA, of FSA

  • The answer is it depends, many times a conservative approach can resolve your pain and injuries without surgery. Commonly medical doctors recommend surgery following imaging results such as an MRI which is drawing a conclusion from a picture. That said they may have not taken into account the root cause your pain and specific movement limitations. If you undergo surgery that never addressed the root cause of your pain or injury you very well could still have the same  pain come back or even be worse because now you are also recovering from an invasive surgery that may not have been warranted.  If a surgery is in fact necessary physical therapy prior to surgery can strengthen your body before surgery which accelerates and improves the success of recovery after surgery..  In many cases, surgery can be avoided altogether.
